Sometimes social projects fail to meet the needs of individuals or make significant impact on their lives. One reason is top-down design approach, which is the process of developing projects in meeting rooms with little field evidence to support assumptions.
Description: This workshop will be based on parts of the training that Acumen Fund Global Fellows go through. It will equip participants with a basic framework for approaching social problems using context immersion and design thinking. The workshop will include field visits, role play and team work. It is ideal for inexperienced volunteers, people new to the social sector, passionate individuals trying to contribute to the society.
